Is the NSE 6 - FortiADC Worth It?

The NSE 6 - FortiADC exam covers specialized knowledge and familiarity with Fortinet-powered network application systems, so if the job you have (or want to have) involves load balancing or configuring high availability on networks that depend on Fortinet, it's definitely worth it. Fortinet is a very popular enterprise network hardware and software provider, so investing the time and energy to master their application delivery controllers is often worth it, but it's worth double-checking.

How much does the NSE 6 - FortiADC cost?

The cost of Fortinet certifications depends on how many exams the certification itself has. NSE 6 - FortiADC is a concentration (or elective) exam which supplements a core exam. On October 1st, 2023, Fortinet changed their pricing so that new certifications that require 2 exams cost a total of $400, or $200 per exam. If you already own an NSE 6 certification exam voucher, each voucher can be used to book any one core or concentration exam.

Is the NSE 6 - FortiADC exam difficult?

If you work with Fortinet products often, you probably won't find the FortiADC exam particularly difficult. However, like any multiple-choice exam that covers both practical experience and technical knowledge, the language of the exam looks for particular answers. What makes any certification exam difficult is when the messiness of real life doesn't fit neatly inside an exam's borders. Be sure to prepare with at least one NSE 6 - FortiADC practice exam so you know just how difficult the exam is.

Does the NSE 6 - FortiADC expire?

Yes, as of October 1, 2023, all of Fortinet's certifications have an expiration date. To keep your certification in active status, you must maintain them. Generally, the renewal process is to retake the exam within six months of its expiration – in the case of a certification, the core exam alone. However, if your certification expires, you must re-earn it by going through the entire process all over again.
