Microsoft retired Exam 70-778 in January 2021, but that doesn't mean the course or the content on it isn't helpful when it comes to earning a certification. Microsoft's current data analysis certification is called Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. Its exam, PL-300, covers data visualizations, data transformation, and data models. All that material is also covered by this course, albeit for an earlier version of the certification's exam.

How hard is the Power BI data visualization certification?

The current Power BI exam is moderately challenging, testing foundational familiarity with data concepts and using Power BI. For someone with several years of experience in data visualization or developing in Power BI, the exam represents a fair challenge of everything that can be done with the tool. For someone with little to no data visualization background, it would be very challenging to prepare for the exam without training.
