CBT Nuggets trainer Anthony Sequeira recently released his new Microsoft Windows 10 End User Essentials course, giving you an in-depth look at how to customize and maximize Microsoft's popular Windows 10 product. Anthony sets up end users for success by addressing topics such as desktop familiarity and customization, file and folder management, web browsers, apps, networking, and more.

In this 15-video course, Anthony tackles some of the most critical topics to help ensure that users are getting all that they can out of Microsoft's popular operating system, Windows 10. Anthony takes your understanding to a new level by incorporating hands-on labs, in which you can practice what you learn throughout the course.

We asked Anthony about his course, and how users can get more out Windows 10.

Q: Why should companies train their end users to use Windows 10? What kinds of productivity and efficiencies should they expect to see as a result of completing your course? End users need Windows 10 training for two main reasons: 1) The Nuggets in this course will help them to be much more efficient in their daily jobs, and 2) they will help reduce the number of support calls that pour into the service desk!

Q: Who should complete your Windows 10 End User Essentials course? What kind of employee would benefit most from taking your course? Any employee who is currently using Windows 10 (any version) would benefit. NOTE: This course would also be a huge help for the many companies planning a migration to Windows 10 from some earlier version of Windows.

Q: As a Windows 10 expert, are there any features you wish it offered or improvements you'd like to see in the next iteration of Windows? I think Microsoft can do a better job in the area of updates. Often times, a Windows 10 system can have issues shutting down due to update installations. I actually teach how to control this situation in the course.

Q: From a learner perspective, what did you keep in mind when creating this course? I really focused on how a typical user would love to configure their system for work and play.

Q: Any out-of-the-box tips for learners to help them get the most out of your course? Get ready to have fun! This course even ends with a "Final Exam" where you can show off your new skills on a real Windows 10 system!

Q: What was your favorite Nugget to create in this course? The Final Exam Nugget was so much fun, especially considering that creating a performance-based assessment was a first for us at CBT Nuggets.

Q: Were there any features or uses for Windows 10 that you were surprised by as you developed your Windows 10 End User Essentials course? There were aspects of Windows 10 that you can control that actually surprised me a bit. For example, I was not aware you could customize the Lock Screen to the degree that you can!

Q: What's the most important thing you hope learners take away from this course? Windows 10 is extremely flexible. You can craft it just how you might need it in order to get the most work done!

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners complete before diving into your Windows 10 End User Essentials course? Students need no pre-requisites before jumping in! Okay, maybe be familiar with the internet, but that is how you access the course itself and the labs!

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners look to jump into after they complete your Windows 10 End User Essentials course? If students need Microsoft Office training, they should head right to the amazing courses by Simona Millham here at CBT Nuggets.

Q: What should IT pros pay attention to in this course? How can IT pros benefit from developing a better understanding of how end users navigate and use Windows 10? IT pros should be aware of the Windows 10 customizations that are possible and should decide which features they want their users to have access to.

Q: There are a lot of organizations that have not yet upgraded to Windows 10 and are still running Windows 8.1 (or even earlier versions). What do you think will present end users with the steepest learning curve as they transition to Windows 10? Why should organizations take the plunge and upgrade to Windows 10? Most organizations skipped Windows 8 due to the issues with it. Moving end users from Windows 7 to Windows 10 will present many questions for the end user. This course answers those! As support for Windows 7 dies, companies must move to Windows 10; it is inevitable. The great news is that this really is the ultimate Microsoft client system! It is also said to be their last, with updates to Windows 10 being the future of new client operating systems.

Start working to optimize your use of Windows 10 today with Anthony's Microsoft Windows 10 End User Essentials course!
